Description
Images from Manet’s paintings are used as elements to make up a portrait of Manet taken from his own self-portrait. The background of the portrait is also composed of a combination of his actual painting backgrounds. This was drawn in colored pencil.
This style of work is done from a variation of Giuseppe Arcimboldo who often composed portraits out of fruits or figures. However, in this interpretation of the style, the elements used are not 3 Dimensional, they are pieces of 2 dimensional paintings copied and redrawn in snippets to compose Manet.
