Funny drawings for Team Danger Girl’s great concepts! When Team Danger Girl (the Hudson Valley hiking group) mentioned their Grumpy Sparrow award for the grumpiest hiker in the group, I knew I had to do something cute and funny. They loved it! And I must admit that I got a chuckle out of it too. The Team also wanted a Happy Warbler design to go as an award for the most cheerful hiker on their team. I thought a singing birdy with a squinty cute-eyed look fit the spirit perfectly — and so did they! : ) Illustrated by Deanna Yildiz

Sometimes you need a great graphic to illustrate a point that photography just can’t help with. This illustration by Deanna shows a perspective combined with labeling that is just simply impossible with a straight photograph.
